Amah Mutsun Land Trust
The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band represents the indigenous peoples of Popeloutchom, now commonly known as the land spanning San Benito, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and San Mateo counties in California. The goal of AMLT is to restore the role of tribal peoples as environmental stewards, through both education and direct practice of indigenous land management traditions. As wildfire season worsens yearly, the restoration of indigenous fire prevention practices remains vital for maintaining the land.

Forests Forever Foundation
Founded in 1989, this Californian organization raises efforts to defend the state's 17 million acres of unique woodland ecosystems and watersheds. Goals include wildfire reduction through the banning of environmentally-irresponsible logging methods, instituting true sustainable forestry, and protecting the quality and quantity of local drinking water.
